Kennesaw State University’s School of Data Science and Analytics is pleased to present the 2021 Fall Analytics Day to celebrate undergraduate and graduate analytics students’ work. This event will feature poster presentations of students’ analytics research and guest speakers discussing evolving trends in analytics and data science. This year’s event will focus on analytics in action. Our event is sponsored by The Southern Company and TransUnion.
Analytics Day serves as a regional meeting for the analytics community and links the applied statistics and analytics programs at KSU with businesses and organizations that use analytics and data science. KSU Analytics Day will feature student poster presentations of their analytics research using various software packages and provides analytics and data science professionals from across the region with an opportunity to meet KSU students at all levels who are considering careers in advanced analytics and data science.
The event will be held in person on Friday, November 19, 2021 on the Kennesaw Campus at the KSU Center. The KSU Center is located at 3333 Busbee Drive NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. The morning will begin with a continental breakfast at 8:30 a.m.

Tim Berryman, Vice President of Decision Analytics
Georgia-Pacific LLC
Tim leads the Decision Analytics group for Georgia-Pacific, a large multi-national organization. Tim has over 25 years of experience in the analytics field leading large analytics and finance organizations. Reporting to the CFO his group functions as an analytics center of excellence with responsibility ranging from developing a corporate wide BI COE through to leading edge artificial intelligence (AI). He is responsible for developing the corporate analytics strategy, establishing best in class practices, and has successfully implemented many high value initiatives.

Girish Modgil, Vice President for the Artificial Intelligence Accelerator
Travelers
Dr. Girish Modgil is Vice President for the Artificial Intelligence Accelerator at Travelers. As part of the Data & Analytics organization, he leads teams of software developers, architects and data scientists with the mission of accelerating artificial intelligence capability, delivery, transformation and learnings across the company. With over 20 years of experience, Girish has worked in a broad range of industries, including energy, logistics and aerospace. Girish holds a doctorate in aeronautics and astronautics engineering from Purdue University and a master’s in mechanical engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology. His research interests include artificial intelligence/machine learning, optimization and stochastic modeling.

Jonathan Regenstein, Head of Data and Quantamental Research
Truist Securities
Jonathan is the Head of Data and Quantamental Research at Truist Securities, a Research Affiliate at Georgia Tech's Financial Services Innovation Lab and the author of Reproducible Finance with R: Code Flows and Shiny Apps for Portfolio Management (CRC Press). His code/apps can be seen at www.reproduciblefinance.com and he is currently working on a book on Macroeconomics, Data Science and Markets. Prior to joining Truist, he was the Director of Financial Services at RStudio. He studied international relations at Harvard University and did graduate work in political economy at Emory University.
General Information
The School of Data Science and Analytics at Kennesaw State University is a one stop-shop offering general education courses, an undergraduate minor, online certificates, a master’s degree, and we have the first PhD in Analytics and Data Science in the US. Industry and government organizations partner with us to find solutions to their data-centric problems through the Center for Statistics and Analytical Research (CSAR) and the Human Studies Lab, two of the most successful and dynamic research units at the university.
The KSU Center is located just off I-75 in Kennesaw, only one mile from the main campus of Kennesaw State University. The address is 3333 Busbee Drive NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. There is plenty of free parking.
